Blood Sample Collection

Give your sample without the wait — at our centre or at home. Drawn by trained phlebotomists with sealed, single-use kits, processed in our NABL-accredited lab, with physician-checked reports online.

Booking takes about a minute. Tell us the tests you need and where you want the draw done, and our team calls back to fix a slot and explain any fasting. For a home visit, a phlebotomist comes to you across Barasat & Bidhan Nagar with everything sealed and single-use.

You get a message the moment your sample reaches the lab, and the finished report stays on your ArsianCare record — ready to download and to hand to your doctor at the next visit.

Phlebotomist preparing a patient for a blood draw Quick prep
Before your test

Preparation before blood collection

A few minutes of prep keeps your results accurate and avoids a repeat draw.

  • Follow fasting instructions. If your test needs fasting, take nothing but water for 8–12 hours before the draw.
  • Drink enough water. Stay normally hydrated unless your doctor has said otherwise — it makes the draw easier.
  • Tell us about medication. Mention any medicines, supplements or insulin so the lab can note them against your sample.
  • Carry your prescription. Bring the doctor’s prescription if you have one so we collect exactly what’s needed.
Good to know

Blood collection FAQs

Common questions before you book a sample collection.

Do I need to fast before the test?

It depends on the test. Fasting tests — such as blood sugar and lipid profile — need 8–12 hours with only water. When you book, we tell you exactly what applies to your list.

Which areas do you cover for home collection?

Barasat, Bidhan Nagar and the localities around both centres. Share your pin code when you book and the team confirms whether a home visit is possible.

Is there a charge for a home visit?

A small visit fee may apply depending on distance and the tests booked. The team confirms the amount before the phlebotomist is sent, so there are no surprises.

How soon are reports ready?

Most reports are online within 24–48 hours. A few specialised tests take longer — we tell you the expected date at the time of collection.

Are the needles and kits single-use?

Yes. Every draw uses a fresh, sealed needle and vacutainer, opened in front of you and disposed of safely afterwards.

Can samples for my family be taken in the same visit?

Yes. Add each person when you book so the phlebotomist carries enough kits and every sample is labelled correctly.
